1962 Marx, Quick Draw McGraw Car in Original Box
Wonderful little tin litho friction auto with celluloid head featuring the early 1960's animated hero. Comes complete with original box. Although the box cover indicates the name as Huckleberry Car this same box was used to package 10 different variations of this toy. Only the celluloid head of the specific Hanna-Barbera character was changed. The Quick Draw version is shown on the side of the box. All tin litho vehicle marked with Japanese type Marx Toys logo. "Made in Japan" and other proprietary information was also included. The figure's arms and body were separately connected to the seat. The celluloid head was locked in place with a tin litho collar. Front and rear bumpers, and headlights are chrome plated. As mentioned the full color box was illustrated with Huckleberry Hound on the cover. Yogi Bear and Quick Draw appear on opposite ends on the side panels. Size: 4" long, 4" tall. Sold: Jun. 2005
